This is the Master Level Att. small pot at the rear panel of Pioneer DJM500.
Failure of this potentiometer usually causes interuppted sound problems or no sound at all from the output of the mixer.
You can check this pot by rotating it when the music plays and see if you can hear abnormalities in sound.
